My MACC Podcast
Digital Arts students at the Montcalm Area Career Center are producing an audio and video podcast entitled the “My MACC Podcast”. The podcast, “For Students, By Students” provides a dynamic platform to enhance their learning experience. By creating the My MACC Podcast students develop critical thinking, research, and communication skills while fostering creativity and self-expression through video and audio technology.
Each podcast promotes collaboration and teamwork between the morning and afternoon class, as students work together to produce compelling content. Each student produces a segment including, but not limited to coming up with the content, getting a guest or two to interview, recording and then editing the segment.
Additionally, the My MACC Podcast hones technology proficiency and instills confidence in public speaking and self-presentation. It also serves as a valuable addition to students' portfolios and prepares them for future careers in fields like journalism, media production, and communication. Beyond these educational advantages, podcasting makes learning fun and engaging, inspiring students to explore a diverse range of topics with enthusiasm.
